  • 120 grams of feed per day
  • 4 year lifespan
  • Suitable for commercial production for two seasons (including a moult period)
  • Very friendly temperament
  • Sexing: Feather-sexed at 99.9% accuracy (human error occasionally occurs when the wrong chick is put in a box but is very rare)

Hi-Production Leghorn Hybrid

  • White commercial layer
  • 330+ eggs per year (white to cream egg)
  • 120 grams of feed per day
  • 5 year lifespan (longest of all our breeds)
  • Suitable for commercial production for two seasons (including a moult period)
  • Independent and more suitable for fox-prone areas
  • Sexing: Feather-sexed at 99.9% accuracy (human error occasionally occurs when the wrong chick is put in a box but is very rare)

Hi-Production Rhode Island Red Hybrid

  • Red commercial layer with a black tail
  • 330+ eggs per year (brown egg)
  • 120 grams of feed per day
  • 4 year lifespan
  • Suitable for commercial production for one season
  • Sexing: Vent-sexed at 98% accuracy

One Meat Breed Available

Cobb Cornish Cross Meat Chicken

  • Fast-growing commercial broiler
  • Suitable for commercial butchering between 6 and 8 weeks
  • For pastured poultry we suggest a 9-week growing period
  • Not suitable for laying eggs
  • Sexing: Unsexed (straight run)

About Sexing

All our layer breeds are sexed day-old chicks, meaning you receive only female birds ready to grow into productive layers. Our sexing accuracy rates are:

  • ISA Brown Free Rangers: Colour-sexed at 100% accuracy
  • Australorp and Leghorn Hybrids: Feather-sexed at 99.9% accuracy (occasional human error is very rare)
  • Rhode Island Red Hybrids: Vent-sexed at 98% accuracy
  • Cobb Meat Chickens: Unsexed (straight run - mixed male and female)
